Egypt hosts software testing event focused on AI innovation
Annual gathering aims to boost skills, strengthen digital competitiveness, and align Egypt’s tech sector with global standards
CAIRO, Egypt (MNTV) — Egypt is set to host a major software engineering event aimed at advancing technical skills and reinforcing the country’s position in the global digital economy.
The Software Engineering Competence Center (SECC), operating under the Information Technology Industry Development Agency, will organize the fourth edition of “Software Testing Day” on May 11 at the Digital Egypt Innovation Hub in Giza.
The event will take place as part of the global ISTQB Conference Network and will focus on the theme “Shaping the Future of Software Testing in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.”
According to Tech Africa News, organizers say the gathering will explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping software testing practices, improving the reliability of digital products, and speeding up development cycles.
The discussions are expected to highlight how these advancements can enhance Egypt’s competitiveness in international technology markets.
The event will bring together a wide range of industry professionals, including local and international experts, for panel discussions and technical sessions.
Topics will include automation, intelligent analytics, and the evolving landscape of software testing, with a strong emphasis on sharing global best practices.
Officials say the initiative is designed to support Egypt’s growing software development community by equipping professionals with skills that meet international benchmarks. It also provides a platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange within the sector.
The effort reflects broader national priorities to expand Egypt’s digital economy and increase exports of technology services. Authorities aim to build a highly skilled workforce capable of producing competitive, export-ready digital solutions for regional and global markets.
Founded in 2001, the Software Engineering Competence Center serves as the technical arm of ITIDA and plays a key role in strengthening the capabilities of information and communications technology companies across Egypt.
The center offers consultancy, certification, and training services to help organizations adopt internationally recognized software engineering standards.
Officials say initiatives like Software Testing Day are part of a long-term strategy to position Egypt as a hub for innovation and digital services in the region.
