Egypt fintech firms expand digital payment partnership
Mogo and Geidea collaboration aims to widen POS adoption and support SME digitization nationwide
CAIRO, Egypt (MNTV) — Egyptian consumer finance company Mogo has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with electronic payments firm Geidea to expand point-of-sale and digital payment solutions across Egypt, the companies said.
Under the agreement, Geidea’s smart POS devices will be integrated with Mogo’s consumer finance, installment, and fintech services to provide a more seamless and secure payment experience for merchants and customers.
Mogo said the partnership supports its strategy to expand digital offerings, enhance financial flexibility, and strengthen cooperation with regional and international fintech partners, while helping consumers meet daily financial needs.
The collaboration is expected to create an integrated payment ecosystem that enables merchants to offer smoother transactions by combining advanced POS technology with flexible financing options.
Company officials said the initiative also aligns with Egypt’s national digital transformation objectives by supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and promoting broader financial inclusion.
Mogo Chief Executive Officer Mahmoud El-Ghawass said the partnership represents a new phase in integrating technology with digital payments in the Egyptian market, improving transaction efficiency and customer experience.
