BERLIN, Germany (MNTV) – The United States and Ukraine held high-level talks in Berlin for over five hours on Sunday, focusing on a 20-point peace plan and economic agendas.
Significant progress was reported, and another meeting is scheduled ahead of a broader European summit.
Delegations included Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and senior advisor Jared Kushner, among others. According to a readout, discussions were “in-depth” regarding Ukraine’s 20-point peace proposal and related economic matters.
Both sides agreed to reconvene on Monday morning to continue deliberations.
Germany is hosting the talks ahead of a larger European summit scheduled for Monday evening, bringing together Zelenskyy, European leaders, and representatives from the EU and NATO.
It is unclear whether U.S. officials will participate in the broader multilateral summit following the bilateral discussions.
The sessions underscore intensified diplomatic efforts to align U.S. and Ukrainian positions and to build a cohesive Western strategy for a potential ceasefire and long-term peace.
