Tehran to host Iran-Eurasia strategic forum on trade and economy
Event to spotlight technology-driven strategies for expanding exports to EAEU markets
TEHRAN, Iran (MNTV) — Tehran will host the Fourth Iran-Eurasia Strategic Forum on October 22, bringing together policymakers, business leaders, and experts to explore new avenues for boosting trade and investment with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
Organized by the Tehran Chamber of Commerce under the theme “Trade, Diplomacy and the Emerging Regional Order,” the forum will focus on how new technologies and smart strategies can enhance Iran’s presence in key EAEU markets, including Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan.
The event, according to Mehr News, follows the implementation of Iran’s free trade agreement with the EAEU, which came into effect on May 15, 2025, under Article 101 of the country’s Seventh Development Plan.
Organizers say the forum will serve as a platform for reviewing the practical aspects of the agreement and identifying both opportunities and risks for Iranian exporters.
Participants will include private sector leaders, export-oriented associations, academics, and senior officials, who will assess ways to harness digital tools, innovation, and policy coordination to expand trade flows between Iran and Eurasian partners.
