Tajik dried fruits attract visitors at global food fair in Paris
Three dried fruit producers from the city of Isfara are representing Tajikistan at the Food Ingredients Europe 2025 exhibition in Paris
DUSHANBE, Tajikistan (MNTV) — Three dried fruit producers from the northern city of Isfara are representing Tajikistan at the Food Ingredients Europe 2025 exhibition in Paris, one of the world’s major food industry trade fairs, Asia-Plus reported.
Barakat Isfara, Fruits Valley and Ali Apricot are among more than 1,500 exhibitors at the Dec. 2–4 event. Their participation is supported by the Swiss government through the International Trade Centre’s Trade Promotion East (TPE) program, which helps bolster export competitiveness across Central Asia and the Balkans.
The fair offers Tajik firms a platform to showcase high-quality dried fruits, monitor global trends and meet international buyers.
“This participation highlights ITC’s commitment to expanding the reach of Tajik dried fruits internationally,” said Saidmumin Kamolov, ITC national project manager.
At the Tajik stand, visitors can sample apricots, raisins and other dried fruits that demonstrate the country’s export potential. Fruits Valley manager Lutfullo Ortuqov said the fair helps strengthen Tajik brands and build ties with major food producers.
The delegation is also engaging in seminars, business forums and panel discussions to better understand consumer trends and market demands.
The TPE program supports SMEs in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Albania and Serbia, focusing on sustainable export growth. Switzerland has provided around US$500 million in grants to Tajikistan over the past 30 years.
