Kuwait’s Ministry of Defence says multiple US military aircraft crashed in country on Sunday, confirming that all crew members survived
KUWAIT CITY (MNTV) — Kuwait’s Ministry of Defence says multiple U.S. military aircraft crashed in the country on Sunday, confirming that all crew members survived the incidents.
In a statement, the ministry said Kuwaiti authorities immediately launched search and rescue operations after the crashes. All crew were evacuated from the crash sites and transported to hospital for medical treatment. Officials described their condition as stable.
The ministry added that it is coordinating closely with the United States to determine the cause of the incidents. A formal investigation is under way.
Earlier, videos circulated online appearing to show a U.S. F-15E Strike Eagle spiralling downward with smoke trailing behind it and flames visible near the tail section before crashing. Separate footage showed two pilots ejecting mid-air and descending by parachute.
They were later seen alive on the ground, where locals appeared to assist them.
Hours later, another video surfaced that appeared to show a separate jet going down in a different part of Kuwait. The Defence Ministry subsequently confirmed that “several” US aircraft had crashed over the course of the morning.
So far, at least two separate incidents can be independently identified from available footage, though the videos have not yet been fully verified.
Kuwaiti officials said search and rescue teams were deployed to all reported crash sites and reiterated that every pilot involved managed to eject safely.
No official cause has been announced, and authorities have not disclosed the total number of aircraft involved as investigations continue.
