Saudi village celebrates World Heritage Day

Al-Baha event highlights regional history through artisan demos, museum tours, and community engagement

AL-BAHA, Saudi Arabia (MNTV) – Saudi Arabia’s Al Mousa Heritage Village in the Al-Baha region came alive with the celebration of World Heritage Day, reported Saudi Press Agency. 

The celebrations went under the theme “Our Heritage Brings Us Together,” attracting artisans, cultural experts, and visitors from across the region.

Organized by Al Dar Heritage Association, the event offered a vibrant showcase of Al-Baha’s cultural legacy, featuring live demonstrations of traditional crafts such as weaving and the crafting of household items.

Local families also presented heritage products in curated exhibitions that drew considerable public interest.

Interactive sessions led by heritage enthusiasts provided visitors with insights into the village’s historical significance and cultural contributions. 

Guided tours of the local museum offered a glimpse into the daily lives of people in ancient times, further enriching the educational experience.

Al Mousa Heritage Village is a key cultural destination in the region, known for its distinctive stone architecture. 

Several historic homes have been restored and repurposed as cultural venues, including mini museums and hospitality spaces that host traditional events and community gatherings.

The initiative was praised for fostering cultural awareness and connecting younger generations with their ancestral heritage in a setting that reflects the authenticity and beauty of the Al-Baha region.
