Republican lawmaker tells Lindsey Graham to go fight himself after he urges Arab allies to join Iran war
Republican House member Anna Paulina Luna publicly rebuked Senator Lindsey Graham after he urged Arab allies to join the US-Israeli strikes
WASHINGTON, United States (MNTV) – Republican House member Anna Paulina Luna publicly rebuked Senator Lindsey Graham after he urged Arab allies to join the U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran and said he could not return to South Carolina and tell constituents “we’re fighting” while they would not publicly fight alongside the US.
Graham said Washington is seeking to help Arab allies “construct a new Mideast” but that they need to “up your game here.” The remarks drew swift backlash from fellow Republicans.
“There are some in the Senate that advocate for war everywhere. Lindsey Graham is one of them,” Luna wrote on social media. “If Senator Graham wants to go fight in a foreign conflict, let him be the first to volunteer.”
She added that no decisions had changed regarding ground troop deployment. “NO BOOTS on the ground,” she said.
Meghan McCain also weighed in, saying “nothing like a single, childless, septuagenarian telling American mothers to send their children to possibly die in a war.”
Iran escalated further on Wednesday, announcing what it called its “most intense operation since the beginning of the war” and attacking three ships near the Strait of Hormuz.
A military spokesperson warned that not “a single liter of oil” would pass through the waterway, claiming prices would reach $200 per barrel. The International Energy Agency responded by proposing the largest release of oil reserves in its history, according to the Wall Street Journal.
