Report: Biden ignored evidence of Israeli war crimes during Gaza genocide
Joe Biden reportedly ignored intelligence showing that Israeli officials were aware their Gaza operations violated international law
NEW YORK, United States (MNTV) – Former US President Joe Biden reportedly ignored intelligence showing that Israeli officials were aware their campaign in Gaza violated international law, according to a HuffPostinvestigation citing former American officials.
The report reveals that the Biden administration received classified Israeli assessments acknowledging potential legal breaches stemming from large-scale attacks and restrictions on humanitarian aid to the besieged Palestinian territory. Despite reviewing this intelligence, Washington maintained full military and diplomatic backing for Israel.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the intelligence materials were deemed so “serious and sensitive” that they triggered an urgent interagency meeting attended by Biden himself. A former senior official told HuffPost the documents “showed how aware the government of Israel was about the illegality of its conduct in Gaza.”
Officials within the administration reportedly debated whether to scale back intelligence sharing with Israel to limit potential US legal liability but ultimately chose not to alter policy.
Former Secretary of State Antony Blinken is said to have warned internally that Israeli actions could amount to ethnic cleansing, a term that senior State Department staff later used with increasing frequency. However, despite internal acknowledgment of possible war crimes, no measures were taken to reassess the US role.
Career officials at the State Department and USAID reportedly cautioned that continued, unconditional support for Israel meant the United States “would knowingly be violating the law.” Senior leadership declined to adopt that view, reportedly fearing professional repercussions for staff who advocated policy changes.
The HuffPost report also notes that the administration’s internal discussions highlighted both legal and ethical risks tied to Israel’s military conduct — yet the US continued supplying weapons, intelligence, and diplomatic cover throughout the Gaza conflict.
Since October 2023, more than 69,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks, according to Palestinian health authorities, in what human rights organizations have called one of the deadliest assaults in modern history.
Neither Biden nor Blinken commented on the report, and both Israeli and US State Department officials declined to respond to media inquiries.
The revelations come amid intensifying global scrutiny over Washington’s ongoing military support for Israel, despite mounting evidence of civilian atrocities and international law violations in Gaza.
