Eid Gift campaign seeks to bring joy to war-ridden children and make them hopeful amid difficult times
DOHA, Qatar (MNTV) – A new initiative called the “Eid Gifts” campaign has been launched in Qatar to provide immediate aid to those in Palestine and Syria.
The campaign, running from March 5 to March 20, focuses on gathering brand-new clothing and school bags to support those in need during Ramadan.
The campaign is being conducted in collaboration with the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) and has set up donation points at several key locations across Qatar, including Education City, Hyatt Plaza, Al Khor Mall, Place Vendome Mall, three Mayoral stores, and nine LuLu Hypermarkets.
Donors can easily contribute by purchasing items at these locations and donating them directly at the cashier counters.
Participating stores are also offering discounts on clothing to encourage contributions.
The initiative seeks to address urgent humanitarian needs while fostering a sense of community solidarity during the holy month.
Mohamed Al Kubaisi, Acting CEO of the Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, highlighted that the campaign embodies the spirit of generosity and compassion central to Ramadan.
He expressed hope that it would continue bringing joy and dignity to children in need.
Faisal Mohammed Al Emadi, secretary general of QRCS, praised the campaign’s goals, emphasizing its role in supporting vulnerable communities in Gaza and Syria.
The initiative reflects Qatar’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian efforts and the well-being of children in conflict zones.
