Qatar Charity team reviews orphan support projects in Pakistan
Donors assess living conditions, distribute winter aid and reaffirm commitment to vulnerable families during humanitarian visit
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (MNTV) — A senior delegation from Qatar Charity, including donors and sponsors, has visited Pakistan to assess the living conditions of sponsored orphans and vulnerable families and to evaluate their most urgent humanitarian needs.
The visit underscored Qatar Charity’s continued commitment to improving the welfare of orphaned children and supporting disadvantaged communities in Pakistan as part of its broader international humanitarian efforts.
During a visit to Rawalpindi district in Punjab, the delegation took part in the distribution of winterization and personal hygiene kits for orphaned children and low-income families, Qatar Tribune reported.
The winter aid included cotton mattresses, shawls, socks, caps and gloves, while hygiene kits contained towels, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap and mosquito nets.
Members of the delegation also visited orphan families in their homes, engaging directly with children and caregivers and observing their living conditions.
A special event was organized for around 50 orphans sponsored by Qatar Charity, where children participated in drawing, painting, sports and other recreational activities.
As part of the gathering, children presented handmade artwork to their sponsors as a gesture of appreciation, while mothers displayed handcrafted items highlighting their skills and resilience.
Delegation members described the visit as a deeply meaningful humanitarian experience, encouraging donors in Qatar to continue supporting vulnerable families in Pakistan. They emphasized that even modest contributions can significantly improve the lives of entire households.
They added that spending time with orphaned children was both a source of pride and fulfillment, reflecting the values of compassion and solidarity that underpin Qatar Charity’s mission.
