Oman municipality brings Khareef 2025 with world-class shows, interactive experiences
New season to feature global attractions, cultural heritage zones, and immersive family entertainment
SALALAH, Oman (MNTV) — Oman’s Dhofar Municipality has unveiled an ambitious program for Khareef Dhofar 2025, centering this year’s celebrations around a blend of culture, innovation, and entertainment, including performances on a global scale.
Ammar bin Obeid Ghawas, Director of Events and Awareness, said the season has been carefully curated to appeal to visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
It will debut Oman’s largest-ever inflatable amusement park and the country’s biggest stage, complete with advanced lighting and sound systems.
According to Oman Observer, key attractions include daily drone shows, eco-friendly fireworks, and folk performances featuring artists from 18 countries.
A family zone at Ittin Plain will offer interactive experiences such as “World Stations,” a Princesses’ Palace, walking tracks, and dining options, while an area called “Awda” (“The Return”) will present a living reenactment of Omani heritage through artisan souqs and folk arts.
Sports and wellness get their own spotlight at Salalah Park, which will host running tracks and activity zones, while events extend to coastal areas like Ausara, the Frankincense Market, Taqah, Mirbat, and Sadah.
Major competitions—including the Salalah International Cycling Tour, Sand Drag Race Championship, and Khareef Dhofar Traditional Shooting Competition—are also on the calendar.
More than 1,000 locally owned home-based businesses will participate, and all events will be organized by Omani-owned companies—reinforcing the Municipality’s commitment to supporting youth, empowering entrepreneurs, and ensuring Khareef Dhofar promotes sustainable, locally-driven development.
