Mexican Embassy hosts tourism dialogue in Jordan to boost bilateral travel ties
Event brings together over 20 Jordanian travel agencies to promote collaboration and tourism exchange
AMMAN, Jordan (MNTV) — The Mexican Embassy in Amman held a tourism information and dialogue session on Wednesday with over 20 Jordanian travel and tourism agencies in attendance.
The event aimed to advance bilateral tourism cooperation and promote Mexico’s diverse travel offerings, according to Jordan Times.
In his opening remarks, Mexican Ambassador Jacob Prado welcomed participants and highlighted Mexico’s wide-ranging tourism attractions.
He emphasized the country’s rich blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and modern urban experiences, according to an official embassy statement.
The ambassador also noted the untapped investment potential within Mexico’s tourism sector and stressed the importance of developing joint marketing strategies and tourism products to enhance mutual visitor flows.
During the session, attendees viewed a series of promotional videos showcasing Mexico’s unique destinations—from scenic beaches and adventure tourism spots to colonial-era towns, archaeological wonders, and contemporary cities.
The embassy’s consular section also provided a detailed briefing on the visa application process and engaged directly with participants during a Q&A segment to address specific inquiries related to travel requirements.
The session follows a late 2023 visit to Mexico by a Jordanian tourism delegation, during which members met with the Mexican minister of tourism and travel industry leaders to explore areas of mutual cooperation.
A reciprocal visit by Mexican tourism stakeholders to Jordan is expected in the near future, aimed at building ties between travel, tourism, and aviation sectors in both countries, the statement concluded.
