Israeli Cop Shoots Palestinian in His Own Home; Ben-Gvir Says That’s Okay.
Chapter 1: It is tragic on multiple fronts for our Jewish brothers and sisters. The community took nearly 90 years to heal, if it ever truly did, from the untold brutality they endured in various concentration camps throughout Europe. Slowly and painfully, their memories of lives lost, of women humiliated and raped in front of their spouses and children, and of children as young as five and six snatched from their parents’ warm embrace—never to be seen again—began to fade. The world watched in horror and shared in that pain, promising in unison: “Never Again!” Not only Jews, but no one deserves such treatment.
While the world stood still, struggling to process such evil, the Palestinians stepped forward, reaching out and drawing the Jewish community to their embrace. They were old compatriots, brothers. They were safe in Palestine—the land of Arab Muslims, Christians, and even Jews. They shared a rich heritage, descendants of a common lineage. In that moment, humanity triumphed over evil. Or so we thought, or at least hoped.
However, lurking within the largely peaceful and grateful Jewish community was their own worst nightmare—the Zionists. The prospect of free land, especially when so much was available, was too enticing for these ideologues. Why couldn’t they have it all? All they needed was a “divine” right to occupy these lands, and if it didn’t already exist, they were prepared to manufacture it. Thus began a new chapter in Palestine. Let’s call it –
Chapter 2: Goodness is like a wisp of smoke; it only takes a gust of wind to disperse it. The ‘good’ Jews stood little chance against the raw power of evil that resided within their ranks. Ironically, the trauma that scarred the Jewish community had a polar opposite effect on the Zionists, inspiring them with a destructive power that eroded the human soul. Palestine became their new playground, a testing ground for how far they could go.
The same horrifying cycle of death, torture, rape, and mutilation that the Jews had left behind began anew, with one significant difference: this time, the tormentors and murderers had political backing. They were supported and even celebrated by some of the world’s most powerful nations. The devil was now untouchable.
On Saturday, January 3, 2026, in the West Bank during the middle of the night, Muhammad Hussein, a resident of Tarabin, heard a knock at his front door. Voices outside identified themselves as the Israeli police. Aware that the Israelis were quick to use force against Arab Muslims for the slightest provocation, Muhammad opened the door within a minute. A single shot rang out, and Muhammad was no more. Shot in cold blood by an Israeli police officer who didn’t even pause to ask his name. The fact that he was not an Israeli Jew was sufficient reason for his execution.
If the murder of an innocent man shocked you, what happened next was even worse. When leaders of the Tarabin tribe, one of the largest Bedouin tribes in the Sinai Peninsula, reported the incident to the national security minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, his reaction—delivered not directly to them but through a Hebrew social media post—stated unequivocally: “I back the fighters who operated in Tarabin. Anyone who endangers our police officers and fighters must be neutralized, and it’s good that it is so.”
Our takeaway from this matter is simple yet profound: Those “who, when disaster strikes them, say, ‘Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.’ Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is they who are rightly guided.” (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:155-157). Patience, my sisters and brothers. Nothing happening is random. He knows, and He will respond—in time. And His response will be what it will be.
