Azerbaijani among top three in global women in aerospace list
Sona Guliyeva is named among the "Top 100 Women in Aerospace & Aviation 2025," selected from more than 200 candidates worldwide
BAKU, Azerbaijan (MNTV) — Young Azerbaijani scientist Sona Guliyeva has been ranked among the top three in the prestigious international “Top 100 Women in Aerospace & Aviation 2025” list, marking a major achievement for the country’s scientific community.
Guliyeva was selected from more than 200 candidates worldwide and placed alongside leading female experts working across the aerospace and aviation sectors.
Speaking to AZERTAC, Guliyeva said the recognition reflected years of sustained effort. “This success once again confirmed that consistent and hard work pays off,” she said, adding that she accepted the honor with “a deep sense of gratitude and responsibility.”
Observers said Guliyeva’s ranking underscores Azerbaijan’s growing presence in aerospace research, science, innovation and high technologies, and highlights increasing international recognition of Azerbaijani scientists.
The “Top 100 Women in Aerospace & Aviation” is a global initiative that recognizes influential women across the industry and highlights their contributions in a wide range of aerospace and aviation roles.
