Armenia and Azerbaijan held 12th meeting of their joint border delimitation commissions on Nov. 28 in Azerbaijani city of Gabala
BAKU, Azerbaijan (MNTV) — Armenia and Azerbaijan held the 12th meeting of their joint border delimitation commissions on Nov. 28 in the Azerbaijani city of Gabala, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The session was co-chaired by Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev.
Both sides noted with satisfaction that the meeting convened on the territory of one of the parties, reflecting ongoing efforts to advance the delimitation process.
During the discussions, the delegations reaffirmed the agreement reached at the 11th meeting on Jan. 16, 2025, to begin comprehensive delimitation work from the northern tri-border point with Georgia and proceed southward to the border with Iran.
The parties also exchanged detailed views on organizational and technical issues and reviewed draft guidelines outlining procedures for conducting delimitation activities.
Grigoryan and Mustafayev held a separate one-on-one discussion on matters of mutual interest.
Both sides agreed to determine the date and location of the next meeting — to be held in one of the cities of Armenia — through working-level consultations.
