Uzbekistan to host regional AI and fintech conference in Tashkent
Tashkent to welcome banking and tech leaders on 26 June for first “Key Tech” conference focused on AI in financial services
TASHKENT, Uzbekistan (MNTV) — Financial and technology leaders from across Central Asia will gather in the Uzbek capital later this month for the inaugural “Key Tech: AI in Banks and Fintech” conference, aimed at exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping the financial sector.
The conference will take place on 26 June at the U-Enter venue in Tashkent and is expected to bring together executives, AI specialists, and policymakers for a full-day agenda focused on digital innovation in banking.
As reported by UZ Daily, the event is supported by several major institutions, including Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Digital Technologies, the Association of Banks of Uzbekistan, and the Uzbekistan FinTech Association.
The conference aligns with the country’s broader strategic objectives. Under a presidential decree by Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Uzbekistan is implementing a National AI Development Strategy through 2030. The plan aims to build a competitive digital economy and achieve $1.5 billion in exports of AI-driven software and digital services by the end of the decade.
Topics at the event will include AI-powered risk assessment and lending tools, anti-fraud technologies, automated compliance systems, customer engagement through natural language processing (NLP), and voice recognition systems. Several sessions will focus on practical case studies involving AI deployment in banking operations.
Confirmed participants include top representatives from regional banks and technology firms such as Alif, Payme, Zood, Tenge Bank, TBC Bank, Avo Bank, Yandex Cloud, Huawei, and Sarkor.
Organizers say the goal is to create a space for dialogue between financial institutions, technology developers, and regulators to accelerate responsible AI adoption in finance.
The event is open to C-level executives, developers, investors, and regulatory officials working at the intersection of banking and digital transformation.
