Twin 4-year old sisters among 50 Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes
Israeli airstrikes across Gaza have bombed homes, shelters, and hospitals reducing them to rubble
GAZA, Palestine (MNTV) – At least 50 Palestinians have been killed in a series of Israeli airstrikes targeting residential areas, shelters, and medical facilities over past 24-hours.
Among the victims were four-year-old twin sisters, Saba and Sana, who perished alongside their parents and two siblings when their home in Gaza City’s Tuffah neighborhood was struck at 1 a.m. local time.
A relative recounted that the girls screamed for their father moments before the missile obliterated their home.
Palestinian Health Ministry reported that 152 others were wounded in the latest attacks, which spanned multiple locations, including Jabalia, Khan Younis, and central Gaza.
In Jabalia, an airstrike on a former police station claimed nine lives, while in Khan Younis, several strikes resulted in numerous casualties.
Israeli forces also opened heavy machine gun fire on residential areas in eastern Gaza City and the Maghazi refugee camp, exacerbating the toll on civilians.
Medical facilities have not been spared; Al-Durrah Children’s Hospital in Gaza City was forced out of service after sustaining damage from an Israeli airstrike, marking the 37th healthcare facility rendered non-operational.
The destruction of medical infrastructure has severely hampered the ability to treat the wounded and manage the escalating health crisis.
Since Israel resumed its offensive on March 18, following the collapse of a ceasefire agreement, nearly 2,000 Palestinians have been killed.
The total death toll since the war began in October 2023 now stands at over 51,355, with more than 117,000 injured, the majority being women and children.
The International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, citing war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Additionally, Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice.
