Türkiye’s defense and aerospace exports surge 39% to $6B in January–September
Sector records $574 million in September exports as Türkiye accelerates defense, aerospace growth and strengthens international partnerships for global expansion
ISTANBUL, Türkiye (MNTV) — Türkiye’s defense and aerospace exports rose 39% in the first nine months of 2025 compared to the same period last year, reaching $6 billion, the country’s defense industries agency confirmed Thursday.
Haluk Görgün, head of the Defense Industries Secretariat, said on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal that the achievement represents more than just numbers.
He noted it also reflects the global recognition of Turkish engineering, a strong domestic production ecosystem, and a strategic vision backed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Exports in September alone totaled $574 million, underlining the sector’s continued upward momentum.
Görgün noted that Türkiye’s industrialization drive, engineering-centered production capacity, and commitment to sustainable practices are ensuring that the defense platforms developed today remain reliable systems for the future. “This vision makes our defense and aerospace industry a global player,” he said.
He added that Ankara’s expanding international cooperation, joint projects, and tailored solutions for regional partners strengthen Türkiye’s role as a reliable defense partner for allied and friendly nations.
These partnerships, he stressed, not only contribute to peace and stability but also bolster the country’s export growth.
“We will continue to work diligently for a stronger Türkiye in global competition with our unique solutions in critical technologies,” Görgün concluded.
