Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan among countries backing Trump’s Gaza plan
The statement also called for Israel’s full withdrawal, Gaza’s reconstruction, and a two-state solution that integrates Gaza with the occupied West Bank in line with international law
WASHINGTON, United States (MNTV) – Foreign ministers from Türkiye, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt welcomed US President Donald Trump’s “sincere” efforts to end the war in Gaza, voicing confidence in his ability to chart a path to peace.
Their joint statement came Monday after Trump presented key elements of his Gaza ceasefire plan at a Washington news conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The proposal includes the release of Israeli captives and the disarmament of Hamas.
The ministers underlined the importance of partnership with the US in securing peace and said they are ready to engage “positively and constructively” with Washington and other parties to ensure the agreement is finalized and implemented.
They stressed that the plan must guarantee uninterrupted humanitarian aid to Gaza, prevent the displacement of Palestinians, secure the release of hostages, and establish a security mechanism for all sides.
The statement also called for Israel’s full withdrawal, Gaza’s reconstruction, and a two-state solution that integrates Gaza with the occupied West Bank in line with international law.
“These elements are crucial to ensuring regional peace and stability,” the ministers said, reaffirming their collective commitment to work with the US to end the war in the besieged enclave.
