Trump pushes Congress to hike taxes on rich
President Donald Trump has urged Congress to raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans.
The White House is backing the move, calling it Trump’s “big beautiful bill,” echoing Sen. Bernie Sanders’ long-standing agenda.
As Republican lawmakers finalize the tax package, the proposal aims to increase the top income tax rate from 37% to 39.6%.
The measure targets high earners and is expected to be a key part of upcoming budget negotiations.
