Interior Ministry personnel help streamline Hajj procedures at Casablanca airport under Vision 2030 program
CASABLANCA, Morocco (MNTV) – Saudi women professionals from the Ministry of Interior are actively supporting the Makkah Route Initiative at Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport, assisting Moroccan pilgrims as they begin their Hajj journey.
Their role highlights Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to provide a smooth and efficient pilgrimage experience from departure to arrival in the Holy Cities, reported Saudi Press Agency.
Personnel from the General Directorate of Passports described their participation as a meaningful and unique professional opportunity, highlighting the expanding contributions of Saudi women in delivering vital services to Hajj pilgrims.
The Makkah Route Initiative, they noted, serves as an integrated model that simplifies travel procedures and enhances the overall efficiency of the pilgrimage process.
Team members emphasized the personal and emotional impact of assisting pilgrims during the various stages of their journey, underscoring the Kingdom’s values of hospitality and reverence for its guests.
They also expressed pride in their roles, citing the initiative as an example of collaboration, preparedness, and the growing leadership of Saudi women in public service.
Led by the Ministry of Interior under the Pilgrim Experience Program, the Makkah Route Initiative is one of the flagship projects of Saudi Vision 2030.
It provides pre-departure services including the issuance of electronic Hajj visas, completion of immigration procedures, and the tagging and organizing of luggage according to transport and lodging plans within Saudi Arabia.
Upon arrival, pilgrims are transported directly by bus to their accommodations in Makkah or Madinah, while their luggage is delivered efficiently by designated authorities.
The initiative aims to ease the burden on pilgrims and improve the quality and speed of their travel experience, beginning at the point of departure.
