Saudi Arabia launches ‘Saudi Crafts’ brand nationally
New sub-brand under ‘Saudi Made’ highlights handicrafts, empowers artisans, and strengthens local and global market presence
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (MNTV) — The Saudi Export Development Authority (Saudi Exports), in partnership with the Heritage Commission and through its “Made in Saudi” program, officially launched the “Saudi Crafts” brand.
The launch took place during the third edition of the Made in Saudi exhibition at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center in Malham, held from December 15 to 17.
The launch follows the initial unveiling of the brand during the Saudi International Handicrafts Week (Banan) in November, marking a significant step in developing the handicrafts sector.
The initiative aims to empower male and female artisans and strengthen the presence of their products within the Kingdom’s industrial and economic ecosystem.
The Saudi Crafts brand is designed to showcase traditional Saudi handicrafts as products that combine creativity, authenticity, and quality, presented in a contemporary style to enhance competitiveness in both domestic and international markets under the national “Saudi Made” umbrella.
This year’s exhibition has dedicated spaces to display artisan products, highlight national craftsmanship skills, and connect creators with supporting entities and potential buyers.
The initiative seeks to boost growth opportunities and reinforce Saudi handicrafts as a core part of the Kingdom’s cultural and economic identity.
Officials described the official launch as a milestone in national efforts to develop creative industries, support the sustainability of local crafts, and expand the visibility of Saudi products across global markets.
The program reflects ongoing government support for innovation, heritage preservation, and economic diversification through creative industries.
