Russia to introduce visa-free travel with China, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia
Russia plans to establish visa-free travel agreements with China, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia in the near future
MOSCOW, Russia (MNTV) — Russia plans to establish visa-free travel agreements with China, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia in the near future, according to documents prepared for a strategic session on the country’s tourism development.
The papers, titled “Plans and Target Indicators for the Future,” outline steps to expand international tourism by easing entry restrictions for key partner nations.
“The goal is to achieve a visa-free regime with China, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia in the near term,” the documents state.
Officials said that Russia’s simplified visa regime with several countries has already helped attract an additional two million foreign tourists.
With these new agreements, the number of international trips to Russia is expected to rise from five million to around eleven million annually by 2030.
