DOHA, Qatar (MNTV) — The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) has concluded its cultural activities held alongside the Arab Cup, marking the end of an integrated program designed to complement the sporting event and highlight Qatar’s cultural identity.
Organized across Katara’s various venues, the program drew large crowds and strong participation from visitors of different ages and nationalities, reflecting its broad appeal and public engagement.
The events combined cultural, artistic, and entertainment elements, offering diverse content tailored to a wide range of interests.
The program featured heritage and artistic performances, cultural exhibitions, interactive activities, and dedicated fan zones for broadcasting Arab Cup matches.
Together, these elements created a lively environment that blended the energy of sport with cultural expression, reinforcing Katara’s role as a shared space for celebration and interaction.
Meanwhile, the 15th Katara Traditional Dhow Festival also concluded after several days of maritime displays and heritage-focused activities showcasing the seafaring legacy of Qatar and the wider Gulf region.
The festival highlighted the historical and cultural importance of maritime traditions and attracted participation from 11 countries, including Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the UAE, Palestine, Tanzania, Iran, and Sudan.
Organizers said the wide international participation reaffirmed the dhow festival’s status as one of the region’s leading heritage events and its role in preserving maritime culture while presenting it to younger generations through interactive and modern approaches.
In a related development, the Arabic Language Festival continues at Katara until December 20, featuring workshops, activities, and interactive events aimed at promoting the Arabic language and emphasizing its cultural and aesthetic significance across different age groups.
Collectively, the events underscored Katara’s cultural message that heritage and culture serve as bridges for dialogue, understanding, and openness, while highlighting the ability of Qatari and Arab traditions to engage constructively with other cultures.
