Three-day Eid al-Adha festivities spotlight Katara’s blend of heritage, art, and family entertainment
Doha, Qatar (MNTV) – Qatar’s Katara Cultural Village concluded its Eid al-Adha 2025 celebrations on Sunday night, attracting large crowds and reinforcing its status as a leading cultural and tourism destination in Qatar and the wider region.
Over the course of three days, Katara hosted a diverse lineup of events that catered to families, children, and art enthusiasts, combining entertainment with cultural depth.
From musical evenings and folk performances to fireworks and theatrical shows, the festivities highlighted Katara’s unique positioning as a hub that bridges culture, tradition, and modern leisure, reported Gulf Times.
Salem Mabhout al-Marri, Director of Public Relations and Communications at Katara, said the celebrations reflected the institution’s vision to offer inclusive and enriching experiences that resonate with all segments of society.
“We are very pleased with the overwhelming turnout and engagement during the Eid celebrations,” he said. “Visitors from different nationalities expressed joy and amazement, confirming our success in providing content that meets their cultural and entertainment expectations.”
The Katara Corniche hosted traditional and musical arts, while family-friendly activities—including children’s entertainment and themed shows—brought together audiences of all ages.
A highlight for many was the theatrical production The Haunted House, along with the Al Thuraya Planetarium’s special presentations.
Dancing fountain displays, synchronized with light and sound effects, added to the vibrant ambiance.
Visitors praised the event’s organization, artistic quality, and multicultural content, describing the atmosphere as both inspiring and exceptional.
Many emphasized that Katara has become their preferred destination for public holidays and cultural festivities, due to its consistent delivery of engaging and high-quality programming.
