DAVAO CITY, the Philippines (MNTV) – In a major push to promote halal tourism and investment, the Philippine Halal Tourism Trade Expo is set to take place in Davao city in June.
The event will be held in partnership with the City Government of Davao through the (DCIPC) and the City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO).
Christian Cambaya, head of Davao City Investment Promotion Center (DCIPC) Investor Assistance Servicing Unit, says the expo will showcase the city’s commitment to developing the halal tourism industry and encourage investments in halal-friendly businesses.
The three-day event, from June 18 to 20, will bring together various stakeholders, including tourism operators and halal certification bodies, to showcase a wide range of halal-certified goods, products, and services.
Cambaya says that aside from exhibits, the expo will feature meetings and workshops.
“It is important in a sense that during the exhibit, halal food products, tourism initiatives, fashion, and other services will be promoted. It will also have workshops and conferences to promote and showcase a wide range of halal products and services to local and international companies,” he says.
