Pentagon awards $8.6B F-15 contract to Israel
US contract provides 25 new fighter jets with option for additional aircraft, strengthening Israeli Air Force capabilities
WASHINGTON (MNTV) — The Pentagon announced that Boeing has received an $8.6 billion contract to supply F-15IA fighter jets to Israel, following President Donald Trump’s meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Florida.
The contract covers the design, integration, testing, production, and delivery of 25 F-15IA aircraft, with an option for an additional 25 jets, under the US Foreign Military Sales program.
Pentagon officials said the work will be carried out in St. Louis and is expected to be completed by December 31, 2035. The sale reinforces the longstanding US commitment as Israel’s largest military supplier in the Middle East.
The agreement comes amid ongoing criticism from pro-Palestinian and anti-war groups in the United States, who have called for an end to military aid to Israel following its military operations in Gaza. These calls have not affected current US policy under President Trump.
The Pentagon emphasized that the F-15IA program will enhance the operational capabilities of the Israeli Air Force and strengthen regional defense cooperation.
