Pakistan-Kuwait technology conference 2025 boosts bilateral digital cooperation
Event highlights AI, blockchain, smart cities, and investment opportunities under Vision 2035
KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait (MNTV) — The Embassy of Pakistan in Kuwait, together with the Pakistan Software Export Council, organized a two-day technology conference on September 29–30 at the Radisson Blu Hotel.
The event gathered business leaders, innovators, and IT representatives from both countries to enhance collaboration in digital innovation and investment, according to Times Kuwait.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to Kuwait, Dr. Zafar Iqbal, described the longstanding fraternal ties between the two nations as entering a new phase, centered on technology, innovation, and digital services.
He urged companies from both sides to collaborate on solutions that would not only benefit Kuwait and Pakistan but also contribute to the broader region’s technological advancement.
The conference featured keynote speeches, bilateral meetings, and panel discussions covering advanced fields including artificial intelligence, blockchain, digital commerce, smart cities, and financial technologies.
Organizers said the event marked the first dedicated platform to foster direct collaboration between Pakistan and Kuwait in modern technologies, aiming to deepen digital and economic ties.
Dr. Khaled Al-Zamel, Chairman of Kuwait’s Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA), underscored Kuwait’s commitment to supporting IT growth and promoting innovation in line with the New Kuwait 2035 vision.
He highlighted the country’s focus on ethical AI, digital transformation, and strengthening digital governance, financial services, healthcare, and cybersecurity.
Also addressing the conference, Dr. Hajar Al-Hadawi, Director-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), emphasized the importance of fostering investment, creating employment opportunities, and advancing the digital economy.
She presented the AI-REAL Toolkit, which offers a roadmap and practical recommendations for AI adoption, noting that the platform showcases Kuwait’s Vision 2035, Pakistan’s technological expertise, and regional potential for innovation-led growth.
