Oman Air launches digital holiday platform with TUI to boost inbound tourism
New service offers tailored travel packages across Oman and 20+ global destinations via user-friendly booking portal
MUSCAT, Oman (MNTV) — Oman Air has launched a new digital holiday platform, Oman Air Holidays, in partnership with international tourism group TUI, aiming to strengthen the country’s appeal as a top travel destination while offering personalized holiday packages to global travelers.
The announcement was made during a press conference in Muscat, with officials highlighting the platform’s potential to support inbound tourism, diversify travel offerings, and enhance digital convenience for both local and international users.
The new platform—available at holidays.omanair.com—allows guests to build customized travel packages to over 20 destinations, including major cities across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the GCC.
It also serves as a gateway for international visitors to explore Oman, offering curated holiday experiences, handpicked accommodations, and seamless ground transfers—all accessible via a streamlined, user-friendly booking interface.
Michael Rutter, Chief Commercial Officer at Oman Air, said the platform is part of the airline’s broader strategy to drive tourism into Oman.
“This launch brings together the critical elements we’ve been developing: improved access, strong global partnerships, and more compelling reasons to visit Oman,” Rutter said. “It also advances our digital transformation, delivering a more connected and guest-focused travel experience.”
The move aligns with Oman Air’s broader tourism initiatives, including its stopover program with Visit Oman and its expanding point-to-point network, with recent additions such as Amsterdam and Rome.
In June, the airline also joined the oneworld Alliance, opening access to over 170 countries and territories through its global partners.
David Schelp, CEO of TUI Markets & Airline, welcomed the collaboration, calling it a strategic opportunity to bring TUI’s travel planning expertise to a high-potential destination.
“Oman is an extraordinary place, and this platform makes it even more accessible to global travelers,” Schelp said. “We are proud to support Oman Air in expanding its holiday offerings while delivering the high-quality service TUI is known for.”
Oman Air Holidays is designed for the modern traveler seeking flexibility and convenience. Guests can book flights, hotels, experiences, and transfers in a single transaction, with real-time pricing and instant confirmations.
The platform emphasizes Oman’s rich cultural heritage and natural landscapes, making it easier for visitors to plan immersive trips tailored to their interests.
The airline expects the new service to play a key role in boosting tourism inflows and positioning Oman as a leading travel hub in the region, in line with the country’s Vision 2040 goals to develop the non-oil economy through tourism and digital innovation.
