HOLLYWOOD, United States (MNTV) — Actor Mark Ruffalo has joined a growing list of Hollywood figures condemning Israel’s assault on Gaza, calling it “genocide” and warning against efforts to silence criticism.
Speaking in an interview with journalist Mehdi Hasan, Ruffalo cited “ethnic cleansing, famine, and forced displacement” as evidence of what he described as systematic violence against Palestinians.
He argued that accusations of antisemitism are being weaponized to shield Israeli policies from scrutiny, saying the tactic stifles free speech and debate.
Ruffalo’s remarks add to an expanding chorus of actors, filmmakers, and musicians who have expressed alarm over the mounting civilian toll in Gaza, urging international pressure to halt the attacks.
