‘Loyalty’ exhibition at Türkiye’s Palace showcases enduring solidarity with Palestine
Historic Ottoman site hosts powerful art display expressing Türkiye’s commitment to Palestine through memory, creativity, and multigenerational messages of support
ISTANBUL, Türkiye (MNTV) — The historic Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul hosted the opening of a new art exhibition titled Sadakat (“Loyalty”) on May 7, offering a cultural expression of Türkiye’s solidarity with the Palestinian people through history, memory, and art.
Held at the Dolmabahçe Museum Exhibition Hall, the Loyalty exhibition brings together artists, children, and cultural advocates in a shared message of support for Palestine.
The exhibition runs through May 17, with proceeds dedicated to humanitarian assistance for Palestinians.
The exhibition’s title, which translates to loyalty, fidelity, and devotion, was intentionally chosen for its emotional and political resonance in the context of Palestine.
The showcased artworks depict themes of spiritual resistance, dignity, grief, and perseverance — reflecting the daily reality of Palestinians under occupation.
Curator Meryem Veli highlighted the importance of fostering long-term cultural advocacy over transient activism.
“Loyalty is not just an art exhibition,” she said. “It is our answer to the question: ‘What can we do for Palestine through art?’”
A special feature of the exhibition is the “Palestine Art Passport” project, organized by children’s publisher Komorebi Çocuk, which allows young visitors to create their own symbolic messages of solidarity.
Children filled their blank passports with hand-drawn illustrations and words of support for Palestine.
Dolmabahçe Palace, which also hosted peace talks between Russia and Ukraine, continues to serve as a venue for Türkiye’s diplomatic and cultural outreach.
