LEARN 2025 drives Saudi Arabia’s shift to smart education
Conference highlights innovation in training and digital skills to support Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and knowledge economy goals
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (MNTV) — The LEARN 2025 conference opened at the Mohammed bin Salman Nonprofit City in Riyadh, spotlighting the role of smart learning in advancing Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation and knowledge-based economy.
Organized in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the three-day event gathers global experts in digital learning and innovation.
According to Arab News, it focuses on strategies to enhance human capital and advance education through technology-driven solutions.
Solveig Nicklos, senior adviser to the CEO and chief transformation officer at Zayed University, said the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 is reshaping education and driving the adoption of new teaching technologies.
“Nothing is going to impact learning and student development the way technology is now,” she said, emphasizing the need to train educators in innovative digital methods.
Nicklos also addressed gender disparities in technology use, noting that “women use technology 20 percent less than men,” and stressing the importance of equal access to education and digital tools to bridge the gap in the era of artificial intelligence.
Abdulaziz Al-Suayri, chief product officer at Tatweer Educational Technologies, discussed the impact of student nutrition on academic performance, highlighting the company’s Masroof app—a digital platform connecting parents, schools, and students to promote healthy habits and cashless transactions.
“Masroof now serves more than 250,000 students, 220,000 parents, and 1,350 schools,” he said.
The conference also hosted workshops and exhibitions showcasing advanced education technologies, alongside participation from local and international organizations offering smart training solutions.
Mays Al-Salah, product manager at Experts Academy, said the event provides “a valuable platform to connect with edutech professionals, exchange ideas, and explore collaboration opportunities.”
LEARN 2025 aims to foster partnerships between the government, private sector, and academia to advance innovation in training, promote AI adoption, and build the digital capabilities necessary for a sustainable, inclusive knowledge economy.
