Landmark regional Muslim youth summit in Australia in February
Muslim community across Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and the South Pacific is anticipating a historic gathering
BRISBANE, Australia (MNTV) – The Muslim community across Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and the South Pacific is anticipating a historic gathering: the Australasian and Southeast Asian Muslim Youth Summit (ASEAMYS 2026), to be held on February 6 and 7 at Brisbane Technology Park, reports AMUST.
Organized by the Islamic Council of Queensland (ICQ) in partnership with AFIC and RISEAP, this landmark summit aims to empower young Muslim leaders, strengthen the Muslim Ummah, and build resilient, future-ready youth networks rooted in Islamic principles and the shared concerns of the Ummah.
ASEAMYS 2026 will bring together Muslim youth leaders, scholars, activists, educators, and community leaders for two days of inspiration, knowledge-sharing, and strategic collaboration.
Key themes include global issues affecting the Ummah, Islamic leadership, identity and Islamophobia, youth wellbeing and mental health, advocacy, and long-term sustainability for this initiative across the region, into the future.
With a strong focus on unity, spiritual growth, and practical leadership development, the Summit encourages young Muslims (aged 15–39) to rise with confidence and become drivers of positive change.
Confirmed international (subject to any necessary visa approvals) and Australian speakers include Anas Al-Tikriti, Abdelaziz Berghout, Randa Abdel-Fattah, Khairuddin Jneid, Zohair Abdul-Rahman, Rita Jabri-Markwell, Princess Lakshman and Yahya Ibrahim.
ASEAMYS 2026 will also select official youth delegates, one each from each Australian State, the ACT, Northern Territory, New Zealand, six Southeast Asian nations, and the South Pacific.
These delegates will present a short concise report on youth issues and solutions in their region; participate in high-level workshops; and help lay the foundation for long-term cooperation and future youth summits.
ASEAMYS 2026 is more than a conference—it is a movement to revive youth leadership, strengthen networks across Muslim States and minorities in the region, and build a united future grounded in Islamic values and Ummatic service.
The Summit aims to help provide our young people the tools, networks, and inspiration to rise as confident, competent, and compassionate leaders for the challenging times ahead.
