Iran’s South Pars Phase 11 gas output triples within a year
Production surge credited to Pezeshkian administration’s energy push
BUSHEHR, Iran (MNTV) — Gas production from Phase 11 of Iran’s South Pars field has tripled in the past year, reaching 357 billion cubic feet, according to the Pars Oil and Gas Company.
The company reported that cumulative production rose sharply from 120 billion cubic feet to 357 billion cubic feet in just twelve months.
The announcement was made during the 22nd session of the joint management committee overseeing Phase 11’s development, according to Irna news.
Hamidreza Saqafi, CEO of Petropars, said construction of the second wellhead jacket for the project is nearing completion. He added that preparations are underway for offshore loading operations in the coming days.
Located in southern Iran, the South Pars gas field is the country’s main energy hub, playing a central role in its industrial and economic development.
It not only secures domestic energy supplies but also generates tens of billions of dollars annually, supporting hundreds of thousands of jobs.
Officials emphasized that continued expansion of South Pars will remain vital for Iran’s long-term economic stability and energy security.
