Iran plans to unveil more than 20 nuclear-based innovations in the coming days, spanning medicine, healthcare, environmental protection
TEHRAN, Iran (MNTV) — Iran plans to unveil more than 20 nuclear-based innovations in the coming days, spanning medicine, healthcare, environmental protection and industrial applications, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran said.
Mohammad Eslami, president of the Atomic Energy Organization and a vice president, said the projects will be presented during the Ten-Day Dawn celebrations marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, ANA reports.
“These innovations cover medicine, healthcare, environmental protection and industrial applications, reflecting the nation’s scientific progress,” Eslami said in an interview, adding that nuclear technology is being used to improve quality of life.
Among the developments is a radiopharmaceutical for treating skin cancer, which Eslami said has completed clinical trials and has entered Iran’s national medical supply system. He said the drug places Iran among a limited number of countries producing such treatments.
Eslami also said Iran has established 12 clinics using cold plasma technology for wound treatment, with additional facilities expected to open across the country.
He highlighted advances in nuclear-related fields including quantum science, laser technologies and deuterium processes, describing them as forward-looking developments aimed at strengthening Iran’s scientific position.
Further achievements in industrial, environmental and mining applications will be announced gradually, he said, as part of Iran’s broader effort to harness nuclear science for national development and public welfare.
