Iran Navy to begin Eqtedar 1404 missile drills in Sea of Oman
Exercise to feature cruise missile launches, drones, and electronic warfare operations
TEHRAN, Iran (MNTV) — The Iranian Navy will commence the Eqtedar 1404 missile exercise on Thursday, a two-day operation set to take place in the Sea of Oman and the northern Indian Ocean, officials announced.
Rear Admiral Abbas Hassani, spokesperson for the exercise, said the maneuvers will engage surface and subsurface vessels, aerial units, coastal-to-sea missile systems, sea-based launch platforms, and electronic warfare divisions.
The drills will include precision cruise missile launches of varying ranges, drone operations, and electronic warfare exercises, all conducted in line with established operational frameworks and lessons drawn from earlier training programs.
According to Hassani, the exercise is designed to reinforce combat preparedness, enhance command-and-control capabilities, strengthen deterrence, and boost public confidence in the country’s naval defense, with all systems developed using domestic expertise.
