India escalates conflict with missile strikes near Pakistan’s Rawalpindi city
India targets cities in Pakistan as tensions reach a dangerous new height
ISLAMABAD (MNTV) — India has launched a series of missile strikes across Pakistan, targeting key cities and military installations, in an alarming escalation of tensions between the two nations.
Multiple blasts were reported near Islamabad, with security sources confirming strikes on multiple Air Force bases.
The Directorate General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) of Pakistan has revealed that India also targeted Pakistan Air Force bases at Nur Khan, Murid, and Shorkot using air-to-surface missiles.
Pakistani leaders and foreign dignitaries frequently use the Nur Khan airbase for travel to and from Pakistan.
On Friday, Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir arrived at Nur Khan airbase for his visit to Pakistan.
However, the DG ISPR confirmed that all PAF assets remain safe.
The DG ISPR has said that India has fired missiles at Afghanistan and used drones to conduct attacks as well.
In a strong statement, the DG ISPR condemned India’s actions as “naked aggression” and accused it of “pushing the whole region toward a dangerous war.”
The spokesperson added, “We are not a nation to be awestruck by your power, deceit, or aggression. Now you just wait for our response.”
Pakistan reiterated its right to protect its sovereignty as the region braces for potential retaliation.
The situation remains volatile, with further developments expected.
