Summer initiative features hands-on learning in leadership, science, heritage, space, and sports with support from top Saudi institutions
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (MNTV) — The third edition of the Diriyah Horizon summer program started, aiming to equip Saudi Arabia’s youth with essential skills while fostering national pride and cultural awareness.
Organized by the Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA), the initiative is being held in partnership with key institutions including the King Abdulaziz Center for Cultural Communication, the Saudi Space Agency, iLMI Science Discovery and Innovation Center, and Mahd Sports Academy.
Running through August 21, the program offers six themed tracks—leadership, heritage, creative production, science, space, and sports—tailored to enhance creativity, innovation, and real-world problem-solving.
It includes 14 specialized workshops covering topics from traditional mudbrick construction and archaeological excavation to public speaking, aircraft design, and space technology.
Held Sunday to Thursday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., the sessions are designed to promote hands-on learning and build a conscious, capable generation rooted in Saudi identity.
The DGDA said the initiative reflects its commitment to social responsibility and education through dynamic, engaging activities that contribute to shaping the Kingdom’s future leaders.
