Bangladesh proposes visa-free travel with Azerbaijan
Bangladesh has proposed the introduction of visa-free travel with Azerbaijan as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral relations
BAKU, Azerbaijan (MNTV) — Bangladesh has proposed the introduction of visa-free travel with Azerbaijan as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral relations, said Amanul Haq, Bangladesh’s non-resident ambassador to Azerbaijan, according to Report news agency.
The ambassador, who is based in Ankara, noted that there are currently no direct flights between the two countries. However, he said that Bangladesh has already taken steps to establish a direct air connection through a newly signed agreement.
“In addition, facilitating visa procedures between our countries should not be overlooked,” Haq said. “Simplifying visa requirements is a key factor in encouraging more Bangladeshis to visit Azerbaijan and vice versa.”
He added that Dhaka has officially submitted its proposal to Baku and remains optimistic about receiving a positive response in the near future.
