Bahrain wins big at 6th GCC Digital Government Awards
National eParticipation platform, MyGov app and Cyber Guardian Game earn top honors in Kuwait competition
MANAMA, Bahrian (MNTV) — The Kingdom of Bahrain claimed multiple awards at the 6th GCC Digital Government Awards in Kuwait, showcasing its rapid strides in e-governance and cybersecurity innovation.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the National eParticipation Platform (bahrain.bh/sharekna) developed by iGA was honored first place in the Best Practice in Community eParticipation category, while the MyGov app received a Recognition Award in the Best Unified Government App category.
Meanwhile, the Cyber Guardian Game, developed by the National Cyber Security Centre, won first place at the GCC level for Best Educational Digital Game.
Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, Chief Executive of the iGA, expressed pride in the accolades, saying the awards reflect Bahrain’s leadership in digital governance under King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s vision.
He also praised Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa’s efforts to drive innovation and service efficiency.
Al Qaed highlighted each project’s role: the eParticipation platform fosters citizen engagement in policy-making and service design; the MyGov app unifies access to government services; and the Cyber Guardian Game raises cybersecurity awareness among youth.
He also commended the Ministerial Committee for ICT (MCICT) and the iGA team for their dedication to integrating advanced technology across government services, enhancing Bahrain’s reputation in regional digital transformation.
