Azerbaijan promotes trade and tourism at SCO investment exhibition in China
National pavilion highlights pomegranate products, economic outlook, and bilateral cooperation prospects
QINGDAO, China (MNTV) — Azerbaijan highlighted its trade, tourism, and investment potential at the 4th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) International Investment and Trade Exhibition held this week in Qingdao, China.
According to Azernews, the event brought together 26 countries from the SCO community, including member states, observers, and dialogue partners.
Azerbaijan’s national presence was organized by the country’s trade mission in China and featured a dedicated pavilion that attracted significant attention.
A highlight of the pavilion was the “Pomegranate” corner, which introduced visitors to Azerbaijan’s cultural and commercial connection to the fruit, offering product samples and live demonstrations.
A range of “Made in Azerbaijan” goods were also exhibited and sold, while Azerbaijani delegates conducted business talks with prospective buyers and distributors.
As part of the exhibition’s Economic and Trade Promotion Conference, Natig Khalilov, a senior official from Azerbaijan’s trade mission in China, delivered a detailed presentation on Azerbaijan’s economic climate.
He outlined the country’s stable macroeconomic performance, open investment policies, and recent developments aimed at expanding foreign trade and cross-border collaboration.
Khalilov also underscored Azerbaijan’s strategic interest in deepening economic ties with China, particularly in infrastructure, logistics, tourism, and renewable energy.
The conference served as a platform for Azerbaijan to reinforce its role as a regional trade hub and to attract new partners under the SCO framework.
