Azerbaijan hosts international cybernetics and informatics conference
Event gathers experts from 30 countries to discuss AI, control systems, and digital innovations
BAKU, Azerbaijan (MNTV) — The 6th International Conference on Problems of Cybernetics and Informatics (PCI 2025) opened at the Institute of Control Systems of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Science and Education, bringing together global experts to exchange insights on the latest developments in the field.
Running from August 26 to 28, the three-day hybrid event aims to highlight cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence, signal processing, optimization, image recognition, and control systems, while also strengthening international scientific collaboration.
More than 30 countries are represented, including Türkiye, the United States, Poland, France, Belgium, Germany, Australia, Japan, Russia, Ukraine, Switzerland, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan, reflecting the broad scope of interest in advancing cybernetics and informatics research.
The program includes plenary and breakout sessions covering a wide array of topics such as optimization and optimal control, mathematical modeling, inverse problems, computational technologies, intelligent systems, decision-making models, and applications in oil and gas industries.
Among the distinguished speakers are Prof. Ali Abbasov, Director General of the Institute of Control Systems; Prof. Rasim Aliguliyev, Vice President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences; Prof. Eminaga Sadigov, Deputy Director of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education; Prof. Boris Mordukhovich of Wayne State University (US); Prof. Orken Mamyrbayev of Kazakhstan’s Institute of Information and Computational Technologies; and Dr. Abzetdin Adamov, a member of IEEE (US).
Launched in 2006, the PCI conference series has become a prominent platform uniting researchers, universities, international organizations, and industry leaders to address both scientific and practical challenges in cybernetics and informatics.
