TASHKENT, Uzbekistan (MNTV) — Ziroat Mirziyoyeva, wife of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has been named one of the 100 most influential women in oncology by international platform OncoDaily, The Times of Central Asia reports.
Mirziyoyeva was recognized for her leadership as chair of the Zamin International Public Foundation, where she supports initiatives for early cancer detection and treatment among children.
Experts highlighted her efforts to foster international collaboration in pediatric oncology and improve survival rates in low- and middle-income countries.
She also led a high-level UN General Assembly forum in September 2025, co-hosted with the WHO and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, calling for urgent global action to raise pediatric cancer survival rates.
OncoDaily said her advocacy has placed Uzbekistan on the global health agenda, aligning the country with international goals to lift childhood cancer survival to 60 percent by 2030.
