British Muslims are one of the most discriminated against communities in the United Kingdom, according to a new report published Monday.
The analysis was done by the University of Birmingham and the firm, YouGov.
The report found that Britons are more likely to hold discriminatory and negative views on Islam than on any other religion, Anadolu News Agency reports.
A significant minority of the population holds incorrect and conspiratorial views on British Muslim communities.
The study revealed people most likely to hold such Islamophobic views and beliefs are among the elderly, working-class, males, those who voted to leave the EU, and conservatives.
