KSrelief expands humanitarian aid across five nations
Saudi aid agency launches water, food, and medical initiatives to support vulnerable communities in Yemen, Sudan, Nigeria, Chad, and Syria
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (MNTV) — Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian agency KSrelief has strengthened its international assistance efforts by providing vital support to communities across five countries, focusing on water access, food distribution, and medical care.
In Yemen, KSrelief signed a cooperation agreement in Riyadh with a civil society organization to improve sustainable access to clean water for residents of Taiz, according to Arab News.
The project will drill three artesian wells, each approximately 400 meters deep, equipped with submersible pumps, accessories, and integrated solar power systems.
Existing wells will also receive solar systems, alongside community campaigns promoting water conservation, hygiene, and protection of water sources.
In Sudan, the agency distributed 800 food parcels under the Madad project in Khartoum State, benefiting 5,239 people.
In Nigeria, nine medical volunteers providing eye care screened 32,262 children and supplied 1,651 pairs of glasses, enhancing healthcare access for underserved communities.
KSrelief also delivered 500 food baskets to 3,000 vulnerable people in Chad, while in Syria, 975 needy families in Latakia governorate received food aid, reinforcing the agency’s ongoing commitment to regional humanitarian support.
