Israeli Soldiers Being Hosted in Toronto: How Safe Is This for Canada?
As the truth about genocide and ethnic cleansing in Palestine comes to light—something Israeli propaganda has convinced the world to ignore for 77 years—it seems that playing the underdog has become a refined tactic for some.
This was evident again today in downtown Toronto, Canada, where a group of students calling themselves “Students Supporting Israel” hosted off-duty Israeli soldiers from Gaza to honour them for their actions.
News of this concerning event spread quickly throughout the city, prompting pro-Palestine protesters from Toronto Metropolitan University to gather at the location. They were appalled that Israeli individuals, accused of being responsible for the deaths of 70,000 Gazans, including 20,000 children, were being celebrated by fellow Canadians in the heart of Toronto.
According to eyewitness reports, a confrontation ensued between the protesting students and the “Students Supporting Israel.” During the altercation, a glass door at the venue was broken by an unknown individual. The police were called to the scene, and while they restrained some of the pro-Palestine protesters, they alleged that one officer was pushed by a protester. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported on either side, aside from one unidentified person who was hurt by the shattered glass door.
This incident should raise alarm bells across Canada. With the Canadian Prime Minister recognising the independent state of Palestine—much to the dismay of Israeli Zionists in the country—and leaders like Mayor Olivia Chow openly stating that the situation in Gaza constitutes a full-blown genocide, the presence and movement of these highly trained Israeli soldiers in Toronto should concern us all.
