IRGC says it struck US troop site in Jordan, claims soldiers killed
Revolutionary Guard says its Aerospace Force hit a complex housing American forces at Al-Rukban, beither Washington nor Amman has responded
ISTANBUL (MNTV) — Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said on Tuesday that its Aerospace Force had struck a complex housing US forces in the Al-Rukban area of northeastern Jordan, killing several soldiers, the state news agency IRNA reported.
In a statement, the IRGC said the attack was part of what it called the 24th wave of Operation Nasr 2.
There was no immediate comment from Jordan or the United States, and the claim could not be independently verified amid the ongoing conflict.
The United States has intensified its attacks on Iran in recent days, and Iran has retaliated by striking facilities and bases it says the US military uses across several countries in the region.
The exchanges continue despite the Pakistan-brokered memorandum of understanding the two sides signed in June to end their war and reach a lasting peace agreement.
