Global oil palm industry experts to gather in Malaysia for PIPOC 2025
The biennial event is among the world’s largest platforms for knowledge exchange and innovation in the palm oil sector
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (MNTV) — Malaysia will once again take centre stage in the global palm oil industry as it hosts the Malaysian Palm Oil Board International Palm Oil Congress and Exhibition (PIPOC 2025) from November 18 to 20, reports UkrAgroConsult.
The biennial event, organized by the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), is among the world’s largest platforms for knowledge exchange and innovation in the palm oil sector.
Carrying the theme “Transforming Today, Empowering Tomorrow Through Innovation,” PIPOC 2025 is expected to draw over 2,000 delegates, 100 speakers, 200 poster presentations, and 400 exhibitors from around the world.
The congress will highlight how innovation, technology, and cross-sector collaboration can strengthen the industry’s resilience and sustainability amid global market shifts.
MPOB Director-General Dr. Ahmad Parveez Hj. Ghulam Kadir said the event will feature four concurrent conferences focusing on:
- Agriculture, biotechnology, and sustainability
- Milling, processing, and bio-refining
- Downstream and value addition
- Global economics and marketing
A key highlight will be the Henri Fauconnier Lecture, to be delivered by Tan Sri Lee Oi Hian, Executive Chairman of Kuala Lumpur Kepong (KLK) Berhad.
Another keynote by Dr. Ravigadevi Sambanthamurthi, a Fellow of the U.K.’s Royal Society, will explore new frontiers in biotechnology and crop breeding.
Complementing the conferences, a large-scale exhibition will showcase cutting-edge advancements in agritechnology, oleochemicals, logistics, downstream innovation, and research.
