BURSA, Türkiye (AA) – Two people were killed in a plane crash in Türkiye’s northwestern Bursa province on Thursday.
A single-engine aircraft fell in an empty area near a natural gas plant in Osmangazi district, Bursa’s Governor Yakup Canbolat told Anadolu Agency.
The plane had taken off on a training flight from Pamukova in neighboring Sakarya province, he added.
Rescue teams rushed to the spot after staff at the gas plant alerted the authorities to the crash.
The cause of the crash is not yet known but investigations are ongoing, Canbolat said.
